OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Top-seeded Stevenson University jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one quarter and never looked back, posting a 23-4 win over No. 3 seed Lycoming College in the championship game of the MAC Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Championship Saturday night at Mustang Stadium to claim its seventh straight conference championship.

• Ethan Christensen scored three goals in the game's first 3:20 to give Stevenson (12-7) a 3-0 lead.
• Lycoming (9-9) got on the board at the 10:53 mark to make it 3-1.
• Jacob Tatum scored on a feed from Will Smith at 9:21, followed by a Gray McKee unassisted tally with 7:55 on the clock.
• Smith closed out the first quarter scoring with 6:31 to play in the opening frame, with JT Thelen assisting.

• Dominick Massaro scored for the Warriors just 10 seconds into the period.
• The freshman duo of Josh Brannan and Cam Leydig hooked up for Stevenson's seventh goal, with Brannan notching his eighth of the season 14:01 before halftime.
• Christensen's fourth goal of the contest came at 12:10, followed by a Thelen behind-the-back score at 10:47.
• Brannan struck again at 5:37, then a Shane Ford tally 1:30 later made it an 11-2 game.
• Leydig's man-up score with 39 seconds remaining made the score 12-2 at intermission.

• Christensen opened the second half scoring just 44 seconds in, followed by a Thelen tally at 12:55.
• Tatum found the back of the net with 11:12 left in the quarter.
• Drew Collins recorded a man-up goal for Lycoming with 8:06 to go.
• Brannan registered his third goal of the game at 6:06, then just under three minutes later Tatum notched his third of the game.
• Smith converted on a Mustang man-up opportunity with 1:46 on the clock.
• Andrew Ream scored for the Warriors 23 seconds before the end of the quarter to make it 18-4 after three.

• Smith notched another man-up goal at the 12:06 mark.  
• John Harrington recorded his fifth goal of the season with 9:39 left, with Jay Minor assisting.
• Connor Nelson posted a man-down goal with just over eight minutes remaining.
• Smith added another man-up goal with 5:07 on the clock.
• Nelson closed out the scoring with 2:08 to play.

• Stevenson captured its seventh straight conference title and improved to 70-0 all-time against conference opponents since joining the MAC Commonwealth in 2013.
• Christensen was named Tournament MVP after five goals and three assists Saturday and two goals and four assists in Wednesday's semifinal win against Widener.
• Smith had three man-up goals and finished with four goals and an assist.
• Tatum recorded three goals and an assist, while Brannan had three goals.  
• Thelen posted two goals and two assists.
• Dylan Harris and Jimmie Walsh each had three caused turnovers, while Joe Candon and Tyler Sullivan each had two.
• Dominic DeFazio picked up seven ground balls.
• Marc Poust played the first 51:59 in goal and had four saves, while Sam Ross and Tyler Steinberg split the last eight minutes.
• Stevenson outshot Lycoming 47-24.
• The Mustangs finished 4-8 on extra man opportunities and went 28-31 on clears, while the Warriors went just 8-18 on clearing and 1-6 in man-up situations.
• Stevenson forced 29 Lycoming turnovers and committed just nine.
• The 23 goals scored by the Mustangs are a MAC championship record.  The old record of 22 was set three times, most recently by Eastern in the 2015 MAC Freedom title game.  The 19-goal margin of victory is also a record.

• Stevenson learns its opening round NCAA opponent Sunday at 9 pm as the NCAA selection show airs on NCAA.com.
• The Mustangs will be making their 11th straight NCAA appearance.
