Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. - The Stevenson women's ice hockey team, owners of the nation's eighth-ranked power play, used two extra-man goals and a 43-28 advantage in shots to post its second-straight road win with a 3-2 victory over New England College Saturday at Lee Clement Arena.
The series' sweep was the second of the season for the Mustangs (5-10-1) who are now just one win away from equaling their mark from a year ago with nine games remaining. The team also swept its season series with SUNY Canton at home to begin the year.

The Mustangs' power play scored the game's first goal at the 12:45 mark of the first period when sophomore Rachel Martell scored off an assist from sophomore Liana Vazquez. It was Martell's second goal of the season and the second assist for Vazquez who has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time in her career after netting a goal yesterday.
The Pilgrims (1-12) would answer with just 48 seconds remaining in the first period with a power play goal of their own as Aubrey Fisher found the back of the net for the first time this season to tie the game at 1-1 after one.
Stevenson took the lead back just 3:28 into the second period as sophomore Molly O'Neil scored for the third time in the last four games, netting her seventh goal of the season off a feed from sophomore McKenzie Taggart.
The one-goal lead stood through two periods before the Mustangs scored for the second time on the power play with sophomore Megan Alexander picking up her third goal of the season to give Stevenson a 3-1 lead at 5:21 of the third period. Alexander now has four points over the last four games.
Sophomore Jessie Capanelli was credited with her fifth assist of the year on the play.
Fischer added her second goal of the game at 11:54, but New England couldn't get the equalizer as sophomore Anastassia Nelson posted 10 of her 26 saves in the period to earn her first win of the season and the second of her career.
Kelly Metz fell to 0-2 despite making 40 saves for the Pilgrims.
The nation's leader in penalty minutes, Stevenson committed eight on Saturday for 27 minutes, including a game misconduct by Taggart for hitting from behind.
