ARLINGTON, Va. - Stevenson men's lacrosse junior Richie Ford (Baltimore/Towson) tied a career and season-high with nine points as he, junior Jimmy Dailey (Westminster/Winters Mill) and senior Steve Kazimer (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) combined for 18 points as the No. 3-ranked Mustangs downed Marymount (Va.) on the road Wednesday night, 18-6.

With the win, Stevenson (11-1, 3-1 CAC) extended its regular-season road winning streak to 14, including 10-straight in the CAC.

With five goals and four assists, Ford has totaled nine points in a game, which is three shy of the school record, three times in his career. He now has 58 points through 12 games this season, just 28 shy of his career-high 86 set in 2007 and only 34 short of Eric Schmith's school record of 92 set in 1998.

Ford also has 199 career points in two-plus seasons at Stevenson, just one shy of becoming only the third player in school history to reach 200.

The Mustangs trailed 2-0 in the first nine minutes and 3-2 after the first quarter.

However, Stevenson scored the game's next 13 consecutive goals, capped by the first of the season from sophomore Justin Lea (Elkridge/Mount Saint Joseph), to take a 15-3 advantage with 6:24 remaining in the third quarter.

Lea's high school teammate, sophomore Andrew McCrumb (Elkridge/Mount Saint Joseph), as well as freshman Aaron Taylor (Powell, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) also netted their first goals of the season.

The trio of Ford, Dailey and Kazimer combined to score eight of the Mustangs' 13 goals while playing a role in 10.

Stevenson opened the second quarter with six goals in the first five minutes, including four over the first 1:41.

Three Mustang keepers, senior Andrew Harrington (Cambridge/South Dorchester), freshman Pete Wesselman (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) and sophomore Ian Bolland (Mountain Lakes, Pa./Mt. Lakes), were credited with 23 saves.

Jeff Cook led the Saints (3-9, 0-4 CAC) with two goals while Chris Wascak and Drew LaFleur also had two points each. Ross Fernandez made 14 saves, Marc Scanlon eight and Joe Gagliardi three.

Stevenson wraps up its short, two-game road trip at Wesley on Saturday. Game time is at 7:00 p.m.
