Box Score Owings Mills, Md.- The Mustangs hosted Capital
Athletic Conference foe #7 University of Mary Washington in the CAC
Quarter Finals. Villa Julie moves on to the CAC Semi-Finals
after winning 16-6.
The Mustangs displayed their power on the field as they began
the scoring at 13:21 by Jimmy Dailey (Westminster,
MD/Winter Mills) assisted by Shane Clift
(Westminster, MD/North Carroll), which was then followed by five
more goals, 6-0. Mary Washington put in an appearance on the
board at the 2:31 mark. The Mustangs returned with two more
goals to end the first quarter leading 8-1.
In the second quarter, Mary Washington scored at the 11:28 mark
followed by another goal 28 seconds later. Villa Julie
grabbed three goals, two by Kevin Donnelly
(Laurel, MD/St. Vincent Pallotti) and one by Justin
Donoghue (Joppa, MD/Joppatowne). Mary Washington
scored once more to end the half with the Mustangs up 11-4.
In the second half, Villa Julie scored five goals, while Mary
Washington managed two more for a final score of 16-6.
Kevin Donnelly led the team with five goals, one
assist, and four ground balls. Jimmy Dailey
contributed three goals and a staggering seven assists.
Andrew White also had three goals with one assist, along with
Greg Furshman (Miami, FL/Towson), Chris
Baldwin (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall), Justin
Donoghue, Matt Healy (Harrisburg,
PA/Harrisburg), and Brooks Beaty (Pasadena,
MD/Northeast) with one goal each.
The CAC #2 Mustangs return to the field as they host the CAC
Semi-Finals on Friday, April 20 at 4:00 p.m. versus CAC #3 St.
Mary's.
