- The Mustangs hosted their second game of the season versus
Marymount University. They defeated Marymount 18-5,
increasing their record to 2-0 (1-0), while Marymount fell to 0-3.
Marymount appeared first on the scoreboard at 13:52.
However, the Mustangs retaliated with eight consecutive goals in
the first period, 8-1.
After a scoreless second period for both teams, Marymount
managed one goal and Villa Julie added four more, 12-2.
The Mustangs finished with a final score of 18-5 with
Nicola Bevacqua (Booton Township, NJ / Mt. Lakes
HS) leading with five goals and two assists. Jimmy
Dailey (Westminster, MD / Winter Mills HS) added four
goals and two assists, Andrew White (Cockeysville,
MD / Loyola HS) had three goals and one assist, and Greg
Furshman (Miami, FL / Towson University) had two
goals. Zach Walsh (Reisterstown, MD / Loyola
HS), Chris Baldwin (Baltimore, MD / Calvert Hall
HS / USNA), Kevin Donnelly (Laurel, MD / St.
Vincent Pallotti HS / Greensboro), and Trevor
Giancola (Syracuse, NY / Fayetteville Manlius HS / OCC)
each tallied one goal. Senior Goalkeeper Jason
Woodford (Timonium, MD / Dulaney HS / Drew) had nine
saves.
The Mustangs return to the field on Sunday, March 4 as they
travel to Catholic for a 1:00 p.m. game.
