Brendan Lach, for the second consecutive week, set a new program record for the 1000-yard Freestyle, swimming a 10:21:31 in the Mustangs' Last Chance Qualifier.
The Men's and Women's Swimming teams hosted a Last Chance Time Trial Meet, which allowed athletes to qualify for their conference championships. Hood College and Lebanon Valley College attended from the MAC, while Gallaudet University, from the Atlantic East Conference, and Shippensburg, from the PSAC, also attended.
Jacob Pagent was the sole Mustang that came into today without a qualification time. He stepped up during the 100-yard Backstroke and swam a 1:02.51, earning a spot in the conference championships.
Seven personal bests were set on the men's team during the meet.
Alexander Kaye and
Aiden Dill set career bests during the 50-yard Free, while
Jack Mark recorded his best times during the 100- and 200-yard Free.
Noah Abd and Lach recorded a new career-best during the 500-yard Free, as Dill also set a new best during the 1000-yard Free.
The women's team responded to the men's tally with 11 personal bests of their own. During the 50-yard Free,
Allie Huck and
Jordan Terrell swam personal bests, while
Eryn O'Brien secured a career-best during the 100-yard Free. O'Brien swam another best, alongside Huck, Terrell, and
Laila Umrani-Sanders during the 500-yard Free.
Natalie Kent swam a career-best during the 200-yard Back, while
Olivia Jansen,
Denise Martinez, and
Claire Price swam a personal-best during the 400-yard Individual Medley.
The Mustangs, under the leadership of
James Riordon, had 28 swimmers between both teams qualify for a minimum of one event for the MAC Championships held from February 12 to 15 in York, Pa.
