Stevenson University

James Riordon enters his second season in charge of the Stevenson Men's and Women's Swimming programs for the 2026/27 season. 

The 2025/26 season was Riordon's first at the helm with both swimming programs. He led the Men's team to a 6-6 season and went 4-3 in conference matches, while the Women showcased an 8-5 record and went 4-3 against MAC teams. With both programs under new leadership, he implemented systems that accumulated 178 personal bests across the 36 athletes of both teams. Riordon also saw the Men's team under his coaching break six program records, five individual and one team. His first season as Head Coach concluded at the Conference Championships, where the Men's team recorded sixth place and the Women's team secured seventh place.

Riordon previously worked as a swim coach at Merritt Athletic Swimming and at Padonia Swim Club. At Merritt Athletic Swimming, he coached athletes who medaled in the 2023 Parapan American Games and competed in the 2024 Paralympic Games. 

Riordon, who graduated from the University of Maryland, was a founding member of the Club Swimming program at his alma mater, following the discontinuation of the Men's Varsity program in 2013.
