Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson men's volleyball team won its third-straight game and second consecutive at home with a 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 victory over Thiel in a non-conference contest Sunday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
The win was the 10th for the Mustangs (10-1) this season and the fifth in straight sets.
Freshman Austin Jacoby (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) led Stevenson with 15 kills and five digs and was one of three freshmen who had at least nine kills. Kalani Soeda (Kaneohe, Hawaii/LeJardin Academy) had 10 kills while Jon Martin (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) added nine to go along with six digs.
As a team, the Mustangs totaled 41 kills and just 14 errors in 99 attempts for a .270 hitting percentage. They had 29 kills with only five errors and a .375 percentage over the final two sets.
Sophomore Christian Woznicki (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) and freshman Adam Thatcher (Bel Air/C. Milton Wright) each had a team-high seven digs and sophomore Kyle Diller (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) had 34 assists to go along with six digs.
Sophomore Rob Kryger (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) had two kills, two digs, two block solos and two block assists.
Stevenson will now have the next six days off before returning to action next Sunday, February 13 with two games at New Jersey City against the City College of New York and host Gothic Knights beginning at noon.
