Czepinska named Director of Ticketing and Equipment Management

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Director of Athletics Jordan Hoover announced the hiring of Melanie Czepinska to start as Stevenson University's next Director of Ticketing and Equipment Management on July 13, 2026.

"We are excited to welcome Melanie to the Stevenson Athletics family. Throughout her career at UMBC, she has demonstrated an outstanding ability to manage the operational details that are essential to the success of a collegiate athletics program," said Hoover "Her experience overseeing equipment operations, ticketing, game-day management, and team logistics at the Division I level gives her a well-rounded perspective that will immediately benefit our departmental operation."

Czepinska joins the Mustangs after spending the past year at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) as the Director of Baseball Operations. In the role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Division I baseball program, overseeing all equipment and apparel needs, coordinating team travel logistics, and assisting with a variety of administrative responsibilities through Teamworks and ARMS software. Her work ensured the program operated efficiently behind the scenes while supporting coaches and student-athletes throughout the season.

Before being her time as Director of Baseball Operations, Czepinska served as a Game Day Operations and Marketing Assistant at UMBC. She played an integral role in coordinating game-day operations for the Retrievers' varsity athletic programs, enhancing the fan experience through in-game promotions and engagement initiatives. She also managed event production for three sports and oversaw ticketing operations, gaining valuable experience in customer service, event management, and athletic department operations.

"Melanie's commitment to organization, exceptional service, and creating a first-class experience for our student-athletes and fans aligns perfectly with our vision for Mustang Athletics," noted Hoover. "We are thrilled to have her join our administrative team, and are confident she will play an important role in advancing the overall experience for our coaches, student-athletes, and the Stevenson Athletics community."

Czepinska earned her bachelor's degree in media and communication studies from UMBC, where she developed a strong foundation in communications, event management, and organizational leadership that complements her extensive experience in collegiate athletics.

"I am incredibly grateful to Director of Athletics Jordan Hoover, and the entire hiring committee for the opportunity to join the Mustang family," said Czeoinska. "From my first visit to campus and with my conversations with members of the athletic staff, it is clear that Stevenson Athletics is a special department with an exciting new energy and leadership. I am looking forward to helping elevate the student-athlete and fan experience, and to ensure our programs at Stevenson continue to grow and thrive."
