Jordan Hoover joined Stevenson University as the Director of Athletics on October 1st, 2025.
Hoover, who served as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations at Catholic University since 2023, brings 11 years of experience and a record of success in collegiate sports operations and administration. In his new role, he will oversee Stevenson's 29 varsity men's and women's athletic programs as well as 11 club sports programs and intramurals.
Hoover joined the Catholic University Athletic Department in 2019 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations in 2023, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the athletic department, including budget management and financial planning, departmental and athletic events, and the management of the DuFour Athletic Complex facilities.
In his role as an Associate AD, Hoover led all capital project construction, including the $ 10 million dollar renovation to the Catholic Baseball and Softball fields, as well as the $ 4.5 million dollar upgrades to Franny Murray Court and the Dufour Athletic Center. Additionally, Hoover led all revenue generation opportunities for the Athletic Department including corporate sponsorship, ticketing, and the external facility rental program and external partnerships. In his time in Washington D.C., he helped to grow the external revenue of the Athletic Department by 48% from 2019-2025.
In addition to his operational administrative role, Hoover served as the sports administrator for Catholic’s men’s lacrosse, men’s & women’s swimming & diving, women’s soccer, and softball programs, with additional oversight of the varsity equipment and weight rooms.
Prior to his time at Catholic University, Hoover spent five years as the Director of Athletic Facilities at Johns Hopkins University where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of all their indoor and outdoor athletic facilities as well as departmental scheduling, purchasing and the management of all facilities. In addition to his primary operational oversight, Hoover led numerous capital projects in his time at Johns Hopkins, including the final completion of the $7 million dollar Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium renovations, as well as the $1.5 million dollar renovations of Goldfarb Gymnasium.
In addition to his facility role, Hoover oversaw game operations for the Blue Jays football and volleyball programs, as well as their Division I men and women’s lacrosse programs who compete in the Big Ten Conference. In his role as a primary external fundraiser for the athletic department, Hoover grew the athletics external facility rental and partnerships program by 56% in his 5-year span at the helm, which included partnerships with the PLL, Under Armour, and Corrigan Sports.
Prior to Hopkins, Hoover spent two years as the Athletic Facilities Coordinator at his alma mater, McDaniel College. With the Green Terror, he managed the operation of all indoor and outdoor facilities for internal and external events, as well as game operations for all 24 athletic programs.
Hoover earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from McDaniel in 2014. He went on to receive his Master's in Sports Management and Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire in 2015. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) and was elected to join the association's Executive Leadership Team in 2025.
Hoover resides in Ellicott City Md. with his wife Lesley and their daughter McKenna.
