OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Mustang Athletics is taking a new approach to student engagement with the launch of its new Stevenson University Athletics mobile app, the first of its kind in the department's history, creating a centralized digital experience that connects students and fans with Mustang Athletics.

The new app, launching ahead of the 2026-27 athletic season, combines Mustang Athletics news, schedules, ticketing and merchandise with an innovative student rewards program designed to encourage and recognize attendance at Stevenson athletic events.

"Launching the Stevenson Athletics app is an exciting step forward in how we connect our students, families, alumni, and fans with Mustang Athletics. We strive to create an environment where supporting our teams is not only exciting, but also an important part of the Stevenson experience for the entire campus community," said Director of Athletics Jordan Hoover. "The Mustang Rewards program gives our students another reason to show up, be loud and support their fellow Mustangs while the app puts schedules, scores, news, tickets and merchandise right at our fan's fingertips. We are incredibly excited to launch this app as a part of our larger initiative to continue to build a stronger sense of community around Mustang Athletics and creating a game-day experience that our students and fans want to be part of."

At the center of the app is the Mustang Rewards program, a first-of-its-kind initiative for Stevenson Athletics that rewards students for supporting Mustang teams in person.

Through the app, Stevenson students can check into eligible athletic events and earn rewards points for their attendance. Check-In's are verified through location services at each event's athletic facility location where the event is being held. Whether you are checking out a game at Mustang Stadium, East Campus, or the Owings Mill Gymnasium, grab a seat, check in on the rewards app, and collect points towards your next Mustang reward. The check-in period opens at the start of an eligible event and remains available for 90 minutes.
As students attend more events and accumulate points, they can redeem their rewards for Mustang gear, prizes, and whoever has the most points at the end of each semester will earn a Stevenson Under Armour Spirit Bag.

Beyond the rewards experience, the Stevenson Athletics app provides students, fans, alumni and supporters with a centralized location to follow Mustang Athletics. Users can access team schedules, scores, news and other athletics information, and if you cannot attend a game, use the Live button on the app to catch all your Mustangs in action on MACtv.

The app also provides Stevenson Athletics with a new direct communication platform, allowing the department to share important updates, promotions, event information and other Mustang content with its community.

The Mustang Rewards program is exclusively available to current Stevenson University students who sign up with a valid @stevenson.edu email address. Parents, alumni, fans and other members of the Stevenson community can download the app and access its general features but are not eligible for student rewards or event check-ins.

How to use the App: 
Once a user downloads the app, they will be prompted to sign up or continue as a guest. Creating an account allows users to save their settings and manage their alert preferences.
On the main page, users will find their account information at the top of the screen. Stevenson students will also be able to view their total rewards points. Below this section, users will have direct links to GoMustangSports.com, the latest news, Stevenson Athletics social media channels, and more.
The next tab is Schedules, where students can check in to games and earn rewards points, while all fans can view upcoming games and recent results.
The Rewards section allows students to view their total rewards points and see the rewards currently available for redemption.
The Live icon provides direct access to GoMACSports.tv, where fans can watch the Mustangs compete live.

Finally, the Announcements tab allows users to view and manage Mustang Athletics announcements and alerts, keeping fans up to date on the latest information from Stevenson Athletics.

The launch represents another step in Stevenson Athletics' continued efforts to enhance the overall game-day experience and utilize technology to increase engagement across its 28 NCAA Division III programs.

The Stevenson Athletics app is available for download ahead of the 2026-27 athletic season on the Apple App Store and will be coming soon to Google Play. Students and fans are encouraged to download the app and begin exploring its features at the start of the fall season.
