Owings Mills, Md. (July 17) – Director of Athletics Jordan Hoover announced the hiring of Savannah Siegrist as the next head coach of Stevenson University's men's and women's beach volleyball programs. Siegrist will officially begin her role on Monday, July 20, 2026.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Savannah Siegrist to the Stevenson Athletics family as the next head coach of our men's and women's beach volleyball programs," said Hoover. "Savannah's experience as both a standout beach volleyball student-athlete and a successful coach made her an exceptional fit for our department."
Siegrist arrives in Owings Mills after serving as an assistant coach for the NCAA Division I women's beach volleyball program at Jacksonville University. In her role, she assisted in the development of student-athletes as the Dolphins aimed to pursue an ASUN Conference Championship while also managing team logistics, including travel, meals, and event coordination for the program.
Prior to Jacksonville, Siegrist spent two seasons at Webber International University, where she served as head coach of the men's beach volleyball program during the 2023-24 season before taking over both the men's and women's programs in 2024-25. During her time with the Warriors, the women's program competed in the SUN Conference Championship and the AVCA Small Colleges National Championship. As the department's only full-time beach volleyball staff member, she managed every aspect of both programs, including recruiting, practice planning, academic compliance, travel coordination, financial aid, scheduling, and event management for student-athletes representing more than 10 countries.
"Her proven ability to develop student-athletes, build meaningful relationships, and foster a competitive culture rooted in excellence was apparent throughout the search process, and I am incredibly excited for the future of Stevenson Beach Volleyball under her leadership" added Hoover.
In addition to her coaching experience, Siegrist has developed a diverse background in sports operations and event management. She previously served as an Operations Coordinator with Uber, helping launch the company's Uber Live initiative across multiple venues nationwide. She also contributed to operations for the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, coordinated media services during the 2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in Jacksonville, and completed a Brand Integration Internship with Nike.
As a student-athlete, Siegrist competed for the University of Oregon's beach volleyball program from 2019-22, where she finished her career as the winningest player during her tenure. She also served as chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and represented Oregon on the Pac-12 Student-Athlete Leadership Team.
Siegrist earned both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration in Sports Business from the University of Oregon. She graduated magna cum laude, while balancing her academic and athletic commitments.
