OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Head Coach
Tati Korba has announced her decision to step down as head women's soccer coach at Stevenson University following a decade of leading the Mustang program and will be departing on November 13.
"I want to thank Tati for her decade of dedication and commitment to our women's soccer program and the student-athletes she has served," said Direcor of Athletics
Jordan Hoover. "Her impact extends beyond the field, as she has helped shape the experiences and development of countless student-athletes while representing Stevenson with tremendous passion. We are grateful for the time, energy, and leadership she has invested in our department and the lasting relationships she has built along the way. We wish Tati the best in her next chapter and thank her for being an important part of the Mustang family."
Korba was named the ninth head coach in program history on June 27, 2017, and has played an integral role in the development of Stevenson women's soccer, both on and off the field. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Korba served as a Stevenson Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor.
During her tenure, Korba guided the Mustangs through several memorable moments and program milestones. In her first season in 2017, Stevenson earned a historic victory over nationally ranked No. 8 Johns Hopkins, marking the first time in program history the Mustangs defeated a nationally ranked opponent. In 2019, Stevenson posted a 5-2-1 conference record and advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals, where the team battled nationally ranked No. 10 Arcadia to a 1-1 overtime draw.
Korba also reached a personal milestone in 2021, earning her 100th career coaching victory between her time at Stevenson and Goucher College following a win over Alvernia on Oct. 23.
Most recently, Korba led the Mustangs to the 2025 MAC Commonwealth Championship game after defeating York College of Pennsylvania in the conference semifinals. Following the season, the Stevenson coaching staff was recognized as the MAC Commonwealth Coaching Staff of the Year. The program also produced MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year
Isabella Serano, four All-Conference selections, and two United Soccer Coaches All-Region V honorees in Serano and
Kamille Purcell.
Throughout her nine seasons, Korba helped numerous student-athletes earn conference and regional recognition. Her tenure included three MAC Commonwealth First Team selections, five Second Team honorees, and six Honorable Mention selections. Additional individual accolades included
Karly Sheahan's United Soccer Coaches All-Region V Third Team recognition in 2024 and Rylie Patterson's United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-South Region Third Team selection in 2019.
Beyond the Stevenson sidelines, Korba has remained actively involved in the advancement of women's soccer. She has served as the United Soccer Coaches Chair of the Mid-Atlantic All-America Committee and has contributed to the development of the sport through various coaching and leadership opportunities.
Prior to arriving at Stevenson, Korba spent 12 seasons as the head coach at Goucher College from 2005-16, becoming the program's all-time winningest coach. She also spent two seasons coaching at Skidmore College and worked with two Major League Soccer organizations, the New York Red Bulls and D.C. United.
As a student-athlete, Korba enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at William Smith College, competing in the NCAA Tournament all four years. She earned NSCAA Division III Second Team All-America honors, East Region All-American recognition, New York State Player of the Year honors, and UCAA Conference Player of the Year recognition. She also helped lead William Smith to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship game.
"After 24 years in college coaching, including the last 10 years at Stevenson University, I am incredibly grateful for the players, assistant coaches and colleagues who have been part of this journey," said Korba. "The relationships, experiences, and memories made along the way have meant more to me than words can express, and it has truly been an honor and privilege."
A native of Wooster, Ohio, Korba graduated from William Smith College in 2000 with a degree in psychology.
The nationwide search for the next head coach of the women's soccer program is already underway.
