Mustangs A&T seeded eighth ahead of 2025 NCATA DIII Tournament

BUFFALO N.Y. – Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling enters its fourth-ever postseason with a trip to Buffalo, N.Y. for the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Division III Tournament, hosted by Buffalo State University.

Hosted by Concordia University of Wisconsin last year, the tournament is hosted by the Bengals this year, who finished their regular season clinching sixth in Division III.

This tournament will bring together eight Division III teams for a three-day event. The participating schools include No. 1 Mary Hardin-Baylor, No. 2 Texas Lutheran, No. 3 Concordia Wisconsin, No. 4 Trine No. 5 Texas Lutheran, No. 6 Buffalo State, No. 7 Calvin, and your No. 8 Mustangs.

The Mustangs will open the tournament on Thursday morning, Apr. 10, taking on the No. 1 seed University of Mary Hardin-Baylor beginning at 9:45 a.m.

SCOUTING No. 1 MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR
  • This will be the second meet against the teams since the NCATA DIII Tournament in 2023. The final score of that meet was 268.770-133.675.
  • The Cru met twice against Texas Lutheran, winning both meets with respective 260.185 and 260.980 scores.
  • In their most recent meet against Texas Lutheran, the Cru scored many plus nines in multiple heats, including a 9.800 in the Compulsory Toss, a 9.80 in the six-element acro, a 9.75 in the open pyramid, a 9.55 in the Open Toss, and a 9.625 in the Aerial Pass of Tumbling.
  • The Cru are currently 4-3 while the Mustangs are 2-6, with the Mustangs adding wins against American International and the hosting Buffalo State Bengals.
