LAKEWOOD, N.J. — The Stevenson University acrobatics and tumbling team competed against Georgian Court University on Thursday evening, falling 190.275–107.950.
Stevenson opened the meet in the compulsory event, posting a total score of 20.05. The Mustangs' strongest performance came in the pyramid heat, where they earned a 6.50 after beginning with a 10.00 start value.
In the acro event, Stevenson totaled 20.00 points across the three heats. The Mustangs recorded their top score of the event in the five-element heat, finishing with a 7.95.
The Mustangs continued to show improvement in the pyramid event, finishing with 22.20 points. Stevenson's highest mark came in the inversion heat, where the team scored an 8.50, their strongest score of the meet to that point.
During the toss event, Stevenson recorded 17.10 points, highlighted by a 6.45 in the open toss heat, the team's top performance in the event.
Stevenson closed the meet in the tumbling event with a total of 28.600 points. The Mustangs' best tumbling performance came in the open pass, where they recorded a 7.600. Additional solid performances included a 5.325 in the aerial pass and a 4.950 in the trio pass.
The Mustangs did not compete in the team event.
Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, March 21, when they host American International College for a 1:00 p.m. start.
