BALTIMORE, Md. — The Stevenson University acrobatics and tumbling team faced Morgan State, dropping the meet by a final score of 240.995–92.900.
Stevenson began the meet in the compulsory event, recording a total of 15.35. The Mustangs were led by a strong showing in the pyramid heat, scoring a 6.70, while adding a 4.00 in the acro heat. Morgan State built an early advantage with a 35.55 in the event.
The Mustangs continued into the acro event, tallying 13.50 points, highlighted by a 5.00 in the seven-element heat. Stevenson showed improvement in the pyramid event, turning in its top event score of the meet with a 19.95. The open heat stood out with an 8.30, marking one of the team's strongest routines of the afternoon.
In the toss event, Stevenson recorded 10.50 points, led by a 6.85 in the open heat. The Mustangs closed out the meet with a solid effort in tumbling, posting 33.60 points. The open pass led the way with a 7.50.
The Mustangs did not compete in the team event.
Stevenson returns to action on Sunday when they host Caldwell for a 1 p.m. start time.
