Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's volleyball senior Michael Fehrs recorded a season-high 15 kills as the 10th-ranked Mustangs posted their seventh consecutive straight set win with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-22 Continental Volleyball Conference victory versus Thiel Saturday evening at Beeghly Gymnasium.
With the win, the Mustangs (8-2, 5-0 CVC) remain unbeaten in conference play and are off to the best start in program history following the 2010 team that started with seven straight wins.
Despite totaling 19 service errors, Stevenson posted a .348 attack percentage and finished with four solo blocks and 14 block assists. Junior Nate Ellis recorded two of those solo blocks.
In addition to his game-high 15 kills, Fehrs also added a game-high nine digs while also adding two digs and a service ace. Meanwhile, freshman Landon Shorts continued his dominance with seven kills, four digs, three block assists and two service aces.
The Tomcats (0-8, 0-4 CVC) were limited to a .024 attack percentage as they recorded 20 errors compared to 22 kills. They also finished with nine service errors.
Stevenson continues its 11-game road stretch as the Mustangs return to action on Wednesday, February 17 at Lancaster Bible for a tri-match with the host Chargers and Penn St. Altoona. Opening match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
