Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson men's basketball junior Brett Burrier (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and senior Greg Collins (Baltimore, Md./Western Tech) combined to score 40 points, including 25 in the second half as the Mustangs led from start to finish in a 66-54 victory over Marymount (Va.) The win snapped a nine-game home losing streak and a 10-game CAC skid for Stevenson (4-11, 1-5 CAC) who won for the first time at home since a 92-59 victory over NYU Poly on Jan. 8, 2011.

It was also the Mustangs' first CAC victory since an 82-76 victory at Salisbury on Jan. 31, 2011 and their first under first-year head coach Gary Stewart.

Burrier finished with a game-high 22 points, his fifth 20-point performance this season and his 10th in 35 career games at Stevenson. The UMBC transfer has averaged 25.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in three meetings against the Saints.

Collins totaled 18 points and four rebounds, 10 of which came in the second half.

The Mustangs opened the game with an 11-0 run over the first 6:31 before stretching their lead to as many as 18, 48-30 with 11:55 remaining in the second half.

Marymount (4-11, 1-6 CAC) used a 17-5 run to cut its deficit to six, 53-47 with 5:04 to play, but Stevenson answered with an 11-5 run over the last 2:45 to provide the final 12-point margin of victory and snap a six-game losing streak to the Saints.

Sophomore Stefon McCray (Milton, Fla./Archbishop Curley) totaled nine points, six rebounds and four assists while freshman Andrew Dorsey (Westminster, Md./Westminster) had a career-high six points.

Jesse Konadu led Marymount with 18 points and five rebounds. Antonio Rouse had 11 points and five steals while Rich Bess had 10 points and six rebounds.
