STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson men's basketball junior guard Andy Shelly (York, Pa./West York) totaled 11 points and six rebounds, both career-highs, but a 17-1 run to start the second half gave Marymount (Va.) a 16-point lead en route to an 82-60 victory Wednesday night at Student Union Gymnasium.

The win was the fourth-straight for the Saints (9-6, 4-2 CAC) who were led by 22 points and 10 rebounds from reigning CAC Player of the Week Tarek Ammoury.

The first half featured five ties and three lead changes after the Mustangs opened the half on an 11-3 run over the first four minutes to take an eight-point lead.

The Saints tied the game for the first time at 15-15 with 14:00 remaining following a 12-4 run and led by as many as five before Stevenson rallied to tie the game at 26-26 with 7:02 to play.

Both teams would go back-and-forth before a layup by Shelly with 43 seconds tied the game at 32-32 going into halftime.

However, Marymount built a 16-point advantage in the first five minutes of the second half after the Mustangs missed their first eight shots in falling behind 49-33. They also missed three of four from the free throw line.

Depsite the bad start, Stevenson (1-13, 1-4 CAC) rallied with a 16-6 run to pull within six at 55-49 with 7:10 remaining before the Saints answered with a 17-5 run to push the lead to 18 with 3:24 left.
