SAINT LEO, Fla. – Thet Stevenson women's beach volleyball dropped both contests to Saint Leos on Monday. In the first match, the Mustangs fell 4-1, then fell 5-0 during the second match.
By the Numbers:
First Pair: Giulia Viglietta and Nicolette Fuglestad fell in the first pairing in two sets, with scores of 17-21 and 19-21.
Second Pair: In the 2s, Elle Means and Jacque Rizzuto dropped in two sets.
Third Pair: Kylie DesLauriers and Sima Kahoussi battled to three sets in the third pairing but fell 2-1.
Fourth Pair: In the fourth pairing, Rachel Lenz and Claire Thompson fell 2-0.
Fifth Pair: Maren Zepfel and Samantha Simmers slotted the lone win for the Mustangs, winning in three sets, 2-1.
In Exhibition: Isabella Terra and Scarlett Dunn fell in both sets.
First Pair: In the 1s, Means and Rizzuto dropped in two sets.
Second Pair: Viglietta and Fuglestad battled, and lost in the second pairing, 2-0.
Third Pair: Lenz and Thompson competed at the third pair, but fell 21-15 in both sets.
Fourth Pair: In the fourth pairing, DesLauriers and Kahoussi dropped 2-0.
Fifth Pair: Zepfel and Simmers fought to three sets again in the 5s, but fell with scores of 25-23, 7-21, and 7-15.
In Exhibition: Terra and Dunn dropped with scores of 21-11 and 21-12.
