Mustangs sweep day two at Huntingdon Beach Bash

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Stevenson women's beach volleyball team swept their second day at the Huntingdon Beach Bash, as the team defeated Truett McConnell 3-0, LaGrange 3-1, and Huntingdon 3-1. 

By the Numbers:

Truett McConnell 3-0

First Pair: Giula Viglietta and Nicolette Fuglestad battled during two sets, but the match was trunicated. 

Second Pair: Jacque Rizzuto and Elle Means snagged a 2-0 win finishing their sets 21-15, and 21-19.

Third Pair: Sima Kahoussi and Kylie DesLauriers took both sets, 21-16 and 21-15.

Fourth Pairing: Scarlett Dunn and Courtney Foose grabbed the win with set scores 21-19 and 21-18

Fifth Pair: Rachel Lenz and Claire Thompson sat in the fifth pairing but the match was trunicated. 

LaGrange 3-1

First Pair: Giula Viglietta and Nicolette Fuglestad fought to three sets, the pair won the first set 21-15, but droped the next two sets, 13-21 and 11-13.

Second Pair: Jacque Rizzuto and Elle Means won the match 2-0, with scores 21-16 and 21-18.

Third Pair: Sima Kahoussi and Kylie DesLauriers battled through the first set and won 21-11, but the match did not finish. 

Fourth Pairing: Scarlett Dunn and Courtney Foose played through three sets, winning the first 21-18, but fell 17-20 and 15-16 in the second and third. 

Fifth Pair: Rachel Lenz and Claire Thompson won 2-0, finishing 21-18 and 21-16. 

In exhibition: Maren Zepfel and Isabella Terra swept with scores of 22-20 and 21-19. 

Huntingdon 3-1

First Pair: Giula Viglietta and Nicolette Fuglestad battled through two sets but, the match was trunicated.   

Second Pair: Jacque Rizzuto and Elle Means fought to three sets, as the pair slotted scores of 17-21, 21-18, an 15-8 to win 2-1. 

Third Pair: Sima Kahoussi and Kylie DesLauriers snagged a 2-0 win with scores of 21-11 and 21-17.

Fourth Pair: Rachel Lenz and Claire Thompson took the fourth match, scoring 21-16 and 21-14.

Fifth Pairing: Scarlett Dunn and Courtney Foose battled to three sets, but fell to Huntingdon with set scores of 16-21, 21-19, 13-15.
