LYNCHBURG, Va. - Stevenson Women's Beach Volleyball finished their weekend trip to Lynchburg an even 2-2 after their pair of victories today. The Mustangs defeated Richard Bland College 5-0 before downing Southern Virginia University 4-1.
The Mustangs played to a dominant sweep of the Statesmen to start the day:
Pair 1: Hannah Naja & Maddie Clouser won 18-21, 21-17, 18-16
Pair 2: Miranda Mueck & Nicolette Fuglestad won 21-15, 21-15
Pair 3: Sima Kahoussi & Giulia Viglietta won 18-21, 21-6, 15-10
Pair 4: Rachel Lenz/Courtney Foose won 21-13, 21-11
Richard Bland forfeited the fifth flight, solidifying Stevenson's sweep.
The Mustangs' carried their momentum into their second match directly after, earning a 4-1 win over Southern Virginia University:

The win puts the Mustangs at 7-6 on the season heading into their next tournament at Berry College (Ga.). Stevenson faces Wesleyan College on Friday, April 4th followed by a contest against the hosting Knights that same day. They face both schools once more on April 5th, then return to Owings Mills for the Stevenson Invitational on April 11th and 12th, where they will host the University of Lynchburg, Southern Virginia University, and Lancaster Bible College.
