OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling (2-5) topped the visiting Buffalo State University Bengals (2-4) on Friday afternoon in Owings Mills Gymnasium. The team broke a program record in the five-element heat of the acro event, and celebrated their lone senior, base

The Mustangs finished on top in two heats of the compulsory event, adding a 5.05 in the acro heat and a 6.25 in the toss heat, while the visiting Bengals finished with respective 2.75 and 5.30 scores.
In the acro event, the five-element program heat record previously 8.75, was topped with an 8.80 final on a perfect 10.00 start value. The team finished the event with a 6.85 on a 9.15 start value to add to their lead over the Bengals.
The Mustangs dominated in the pyramid event before halftime, adding an 8.20 in the inversion heat on a 9.50 start value. In the synchronized heat, the team towered over the Bengals again with a 7.55 on a 9.50 start value. The event finished with the teams tying in the open heat at 8.95.
In the toss event, the Mustangs overcame the synchronized heat, adding a 7.60 on an 8.65 start value.
In the tumbling event, junior top/tumbler

Alise Gasker finished .500 above the Bengals in the duo pass heat, scoring a 6.700 on a 7.25 start value. In the quad pass, first-year base/tumbler

Allyson Ozimek added a 3.850 on a 6.75 start value, compared to the Bengals' 2.150 finish.
In the solo passes, Gasker finished with a 5.775 on a 7.25 start value in the six-element. Rossow finished the event strong in the open pass, adding a 7.725 on an 8.00 start value.
The Mustangs concluded with a 50.10 in the team event, rounding it out to their final 170.150 score.
