TAVARES, Fla. - Stevenson Women's Beach Volleyball rounded out their spring break trip today with a doubleheader against Lake Sumter and Webber.
The Mustangs earned a 3-2 victory over Lake Sumter to start the day, accounting for their fifth overall victory of the year.
Stevenson then faced Webber for their second time this week. Their last meeting ended 3-2 in the Mustangs' favor, but the Warriors were able to reverse the score in today's match.
Stevenson's first of two flight victories came at the ones thanks to Nicolette Fuglestad and Miranda Mueck, who took charge with 22-20 and 21-17 sets.
Third flight Sima Kahoussi and Giulia Viglietta came back from a first set loss to win 21-16 and 15-11.
Hannah Naja and Maddie Clouser lost a tough 23-21 first set at the twos before Webber's Johnson/Baxter took the next set 21-17.
In exhibition, Maren Zepfel and Makala Thompson earned 21-12 and 21-15 victories.
The Mustangs return 5-4 on the season and will next travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to face Liberty University, University of Lynchburg, Richard Bland College, and Southern Virginia University on March 28th and 29th.
