LAKELAND, Fla. - Stevenson Women's Beach Volleyball took on Florida Southern College in their first matchups of their spring break trip. Florida Southern earned a 4-1 win in the first match and a clean sweep in the second.
In the first match, Stevenson's second pairing of Maddie Clouser and Hannah Naja notched the Mustangs' lone victory, doing so in sets of 21-18 and 22-20.
Fifth flight Courtney Foose and Rachel Lenz took their opponents to three sets, winning the first 21-18.
The second match saw Florida Southern take all five flights in two sets, but it was Nicolette Fuglestad and Miranda Mueck to battle at the twos against Sydney Melcher and Nicole Eden. Florida Southern ultimately took both sets 26-24.
The Mustangs, now 3-2, remain in Florida but travel to Saint Leo to face Saint Leo University and Webber International University on Tuesday, March 18th at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively.
