Box Score SALISBURY, Md. - Stevenson Men's Soccer traveled to Salisbury this afternoon for their second game of the season. The Mustangs would strike first, but the hosting Sea Gulls would tap their offense late in the game to earn a 4-2 victory.
Senior Bryant Seivers scored low left to get the Mustangs on the board 24 minutes in. The goal was Seivers' first of the season, and classmate Joey Brauer earned his first assist on the play.
Salisbury, however, bounced back quickly, scoring twice within 12 minutes to give them the lead heading into halftime.
Junior Gianfranco Vitella knotted the game at two at the start of the second half, doing so in a solo effort. The tie held for another 30 minutes of play before Salisbury struck twice more to end the game.
Stevenson finished with three shots on goal, the third of which came from junior Zack Reightler.
In net, junior Nolen Olson-Warwick made two saves, having faced 18 total shots.
Stevenson and Salisbury finished with an even four corners each.
The Mustangs sit at 1-1 after today's match and look to return to the win column on Saturday, September 7th with their 1 p.m. contest at Neumann University.
