Nathan Williams took fifth overall in the discus at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, hosted by SUNY Cortland, with a school record throw of 51.07m. Williams' throw puts him at 20th place in Division III, which has him on the cusp of qualifying for nationals in the event. Williams has all but qualified for nationals in the hammer throw (63.92m, 2nd). Williams would also place 17th in the shot put with a top toss of 14.26m.
Fabrice Saint Hillien just missed scoring in the 200m where he finished with a time of 21.91 seconds (9th place). Saint Hillien would also clock a personal best in the 400 with a time of 48.82.
The Mustangs finished tied for 20th out of 44 scoring teams with 16 points.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, hosted by Coastal Carolina University and the Myrtle Beach Regional Sports Alliance, are set to begin on Thursday, May 23.
