BUFFALO, N.Y. – Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling (2-6) earned their second win against the Buffalo State University Bengals (1-5) on Sunday afternoon. The final score was 197.675-181.760.
The Mustangs topped the Bengals in all elements of the compulsory event, with a high 8.65 scored in both the pyramid and toss heats. The Bengals did not compete in the tumbling heat.
In the acro event, the Mustangs managed an 8.40 in the five-element heat with a 9.55 start value.
Although trailing overall in the acro event, the Mustangs bounced back in the pyramid event, scoring a 9.35 on a 10.00 start value in the open heat.
After the half, the Mustangs scored higher by a close margin in the open heat of the toss event with a 7.45 on an 8.65 start value.
In the tumbling event, another close call came in the duo pass, as sophomore top/tumbler
Annabelle Rossow and first-year top/tumbler
Trinity Poltrack scored higher with a 7.500 on an 8.50 start value. The Bengals did not compete in the quad pass heat, while the Mustangs managed a 4.000 on a 7.00 start value. In the open pass, Rossow scored an 8.150 on an 8.50 start value.
A 68.00 score on a 92.34 start value in the team event brought the Mustangs to their second season win and third win overall as a program.
