Mustangs A&T hit program-high final score on Senior Day

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling (1-4) ended just short with multiple heat ties against the East Stroudsburg University (4-5) on Thursday afternoon. The final score was 241.145-210.800 with the Mustangs' final score a new program high. Seniors Kayla Yeager, Makenzie Estes and student Manager Amika Smart were honored following the meet.
 
In a slew of ties, the Mustangs matched the Warriors with a 9.30 showing in the Pyramid heat of the compulsory event. Despite the low scores, the Mustangs trailed the Warriors with a 9.10 showing in the toss heat.
 
The next tie arrived in the inversion heat of the pyramid event. On a 9.50 start value, the Mustangs tied the Warriors with a 9.20 finish. In the open heat, the Mustangs completed a 9.05 performance on a 10.00 start value.
 
In the toss event, the Mustangs came close in the final open heat with a 7.55 score on an 8.65 start value.
 
The Mustangs continue to thrive in the tumbling event, with Annabelle Rossow and Trinity Poltrack finishing with an 8.050 score in the duo pass. The final tie arrived in the aerial pass when Poltrack completed the event with an 8.175 score on an 8.75 start value. The Mustangs ended strong in the open pass with Rossow scoring an 8.375 on an 8.50 start value.
 
Following a 76.50 team event showing, the Mustangs ended the meet with the highest score they've achieved in program history.
