TOWSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's track and field team kicked off its outdoor season at the Tiger Season Opener, hosted by
Towson.
Hayden Schindler opened up his outdoor campaign with a personal time of 4:06.10 in the 1500, which gave him fourth overall out of 47 competitors and a spot in the MAC Outdoor Championships.
Parker Weigel took second in the pole vault with a top height of 3.85m (MAC qualifier), which is just .05m off his personal best. Weigel would also finish fourth in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 11.57m – just .01m off the MAC qualifying standard.
Jai Raccioppi and
Dominic Snipes clocked times of 22.96 and 23.10 in the 200 to earn a spot into MAC's.
Alexander Reimert ran the 400 in 52.98, while Raccioppi crossed the line in 53.04. Snipes would also clock an 11.41 in the 100m dash to qualify for MACs.
Andrew Parker and
Jackson Hall finished sixth and ninth in the 400m hurdles with times of 1:02.93 and 1:05.46.Â
Johnathan Womack and
Nehemiah Frazier completed the 800 with times of 2:06.22 and 2:08.21 for the Mustangs.Â
Stevenson competes next at the two-day Doc Jopson Invitational, hosted by Bridgewater (Va.), starting on Friday, March 22.
