WINCHESTER, Va. -
Sean Dowd shot a 70 in both rounds of the Shenandoah Fall Invitational, held at the Winchester Country Club, which gave him third place overall in the event. Dowd, who finished just two strokes behind the leaders, has two top-3 and three top-10 finishes on the year.
As a team, the Mustangs turned in two solid rounds of 296 and 295 to finish fifth out of 17 schools.Â
Brett Ostroski carded rounds of 73 and 74 to finish tied for 11th, while
Ryan Thomas finished the day with rounds of 75 and 77 (t-26th).
Zachary Wilcox, who also finished tied for 26th, improved on his opening round score by four strokes with a 74.Â
Leo Perez carded solid rounds of 77 and 78 for Stevenson.
Aidan Dillahay finished up his day with scores of 79 and 78.
Dan Ailor of Shenandoah and Patrick Kilcoyne of Gettysburg finished tied for first with total scores of 138, but Ailor would win the tiebreak to take the individual title. York (Pa.) won the team title by five strokes over Shenandoah "A" and Gettysburg with a score of 576.
Stevenson tees off next at the two-day McDaniel Invitational, held at the Waynesboro Country Club (Pa.), starting on Saturday, October 7 at 8:30 a.m.
