Leo Perez matched his career-low score of 72 (E) and is tied for 17th after the opening round of the Dickinson Spring Invitational, held at the Carlisle Country Club.
The Mustangs, who are competing in their first tournament of the spring, are tied for fifth in the team standings with a score of 295 (+7).
Zachary Wilcox finished a stroke back of Perez with a 73, while
Ryan Thomas opened up the spring season with a 74.
Aidan Dillahay and
Matt Slivosky - who played as individuals - both carded scores of 75.
Justin Allen and
Gavin Barton finished the day with scores of 76.
Alex Nichols notched a 77.
The Mustangs will look to finish strong when the tournament resumes on Monday, March 23.
