Trading on their consistency from previous meets, in the seven elements of the acro event, with a start value of 9.95, the Mustangs scored a 9.00 in the heat just behind a 9.10 score from the Pioneers.
In the pyramid event, with a start value of 9.20, the Mustangs notched an 8.35 score ahead of the 8.25 score from the Pioneers in the synchronized heat. Trailing in the open heat, the Mustangs finished 8.85 to the Pioneers' 9.90.
The Mustangs trailed closely behind the Pioneers in the 450 salto heat with an 8.05 score compared to the Pioneers' 9.35.
In the tumbling event, the Mustangs were closest in score in the final two heats as they scored 8.175 in the 6-element pass and 8.150 in the open pass. The Pioneers edged the Stevenson team with scores of 8.825 and 8.800, respectively,
The Mustangs did not qualify for the team event. The Pioneers finished with an 84.49 in that event, resulting in the final 128.750-246.740 score.
