A Look Back

Last season the Mustangs went 14-25-1 after getting off to a slow start in the beginning of the campaign. Stevenson went on a season-long five-game win streak starting on April 16, taking a doubleheader with Eastern, a home and home with Hood, and the first of a doubleheader matchup with Widener. Playing 21 games, graduate student Billy McAdam led the squad with a .417 batting average, recording 25 hits in 60 at bats. Junior Amani Jones tallied a team-high 42 hits and 29 RBIs. Senior Matt Reich went 4-1 on the mound pitching 61.2 innings. Reich led the MAC Commonwealth with a low 2.77 ERA, giving up only 23 runs.

The Team

Head coach Dave Gage welcomes many key players back in the lineup this season. Billy McAdam, Matt Reich, and Tommy Holcomb all return to Stevenson as graduate students for the 2023 campaign. “They know how competitive our conference is, so we are excited to have all those guys back,” said coach Gage when asked about the returning seniors and graduate students.
