ARLINGTON, Va. - Stevenson University fell to Marymount University, 12–2, in non-conference action to end their season. The Mustangs finish their season with an 18-18 record.
Marymount struck first, plating runs in the second and third innings to take an early 2–0 lead. Stevenson responded in the top of the fifth inning, capitalizing on timely hitting. Senior John Noll led off the inning with a hit and later scored on an RBI single from Vincent Licor. Moments later, Ben Vaughan brought home the tying run on a sacrifice bunt, evening the score at 2–2 .
The game shifted in the bottom of the sixth inning, where Marymount's regained control with a 7–2 advantage.
Offensively, Stevenson recorded eight hits, with Noll leading the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, including a double. Licor contributed an RBI, while Vaughan also added a run batted in.
On the mound, Chris Fortunato started for Stevenson, allowing two runs over three innings. Jake Treasure provided a strong relief outing, striking out six batters across 2.1 scoreless innings.
