IRVINE, Calif. – The Stevenson men's beach volleyball team (4-2) fell to Orange Coast College 2-3 before falling to Westcliff College by a score of 1-4. The losses were the program's first.
 
Match 1 vs Orange Coast
 
The No. 1 pair of Tim Flanagan and Ryan Thenell swept the Pirates pair by set scores of 21-13 and 21-15.
 
At No. 2, Jack Braverman and Aidan O'Brien won with set scores of 21-12 and 21-15.
 
At No. 3, Justin Novoa and Jay Hyman fell with set scores of 18-21 and 12-21.
 
At No. 4 Kevin Kouchoukos and Minh Christensen lost with set scores of 19-21 and 21-23
 
At No. 5, Elliot De La Torre and JD Sarmuksnis lost with set scores of 18-21 and 19-21.
 
Match 2 vs Westcliff
 
The No. 1 pair of Tim Flanagan and Ryan Thenell dropped their first match of the season by set scores of 11-21 and 19-21.
 
At No. 2, Jack Braverman and Aidan O'Brien lost with set scores of 8-21 and 17-21.
 
At No. 3, Justin Novoa and Jay Hyman fell with set scores of 6-21 and 10-21.
 
At No. 4 Kevin Kouchoukos and Minh Christensen lost with set scores of 15-21 and 11-23
 
At No. 5, Elliot De La Torre and JD Sarmuksnis took the firs set by a score of 21-14 before dropping the second by a score of 20-22. The pair sealed the lone victory with a third set score of 15-12.
