TAVARES, Fla.- The Stevenson women's beach volleyball team swept Hendrix College, 4-0 to earn their first ever AVCA DIII Small College National Championship. After seven seasons as the first NCAA Division III women's beach volleyball program, the Mustangs earn their first national championship.
Emily Pellini and Shannon Baily were named AVCA All-Americans.
At No. 1, Pellini and Baily were victorious winning 21-16, 21-9. At No. 2, Piper Connors and Taylor Jones earned a 21-10, 21-19 win. Rileigh Kimball and Maddie Clouser dropped set one, 19-21 before taking the final two sets 21-15, 15-6. Finally at No. 5, Kayla Vaeth and Hannah Naja picked up a 21-9, 21-13 win.
The Mustangs finish the season, 19-9 their best finish since 2018 when they went 18-6.
