OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Celebrating its senior class of Nikki Kong, Taylor Hawkins and Allison Trinks on Saturday, Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling capped the home portion of its 2022 schedule inside Owings Mills Gymnasium.
Stevenson dropped the meet by a final of 202.690-132.125, again increasing its total score by almost double digits. The Mustangs picked up heat wins in the five element, inversion pyramid, duo pass, trio pass, quad pass, aerial pass, six element pass, and open pass.
The Mustangs swept the tumbling event, which has been the team's strength throughout the season. The five-element group of Makenzie Estes, Megan Despres, Paige Leszcynski and Lexi Gross posted a 7.55 in the event.
Stephanie Dixon, Chrissy Carpenter, Estes, Despres, Tricks, Haylee Witter and Gross opened the pyramid event with an 8.600 for Stevenson.
The Mustangs also recorded a season-high in the seven element, building on their progress from earlier this season. Kong, Stephanie Dixon, Estes, Despres and Leszcynski also increased the team's total by a wide margin in the open toss.
Stevenson outscored the Warriors in the tumbling heat, 43.025-35.450. Trinks posted the high score for the entire heat with her 8.375 in the aerial pass.
