The first half began with good pressure from the Mustangs as they fired two shots. The first sailed wide at 1:40; the second came from first-year forward
Caitlin Bridgers, forcing the save from Albright goalkeeper Alexis Solt. Both teams struggled to gain meaningful possession and had only one shot each in the first half.

Michelle Mesquita fouled Albright's Journee Hayne, who kicked the ball towards the goal, and after it bounced off several players, Williamson found the back of the cage to put Albright up 1-0. The teams traded shots after the goal, but both tightened up defensively. Albright's Emily Serpico had the only scoring chance late in the half as she sailed a shot just wide of an open net.
Following the loss, the Mustangs drop to 1-9-2 (0-1-1 in the conference). The Mustangs are next in action Wednesday, Oct. 12 as they travel to Hood College.
