Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer used a pair of first half goals and six saves from goalkeeper Kristian Slaby to secure a 2-0 shutout of Immaculata on the road Wednesday night.
Jason Kahan and Sean McDonald found the back of the net for Stevenson (2-2), whch held a decisive 21-8 edge in shots. Immaculata falls to 0-3 on the season after falling in its home opener on Wednesday.
- Stevenson struck first in the 17th minute on a sliding goal for Kahan, coming off a pass from CJ Beteta.
- The offensive intensity remained high for the Mustangs, continuing to push forward before eventually doubling their lead in the 24th minute following a McDonald marker.
- Dylan Holy, who has been strong both offensively and defensively this season, notched the assist on the Mustangs' second goal.
- Jay Smith ripped a penalty kick chance wide in the 32nd minute off a handball.
- The Mustangs missed another penalty kick, this time off the foot of Diego Gomez, as Immaculata keeper Garrett Pepper scrambled to get back.
- Slaby stepped up with a stop in the 65th minute, denying a quality look to keep the hosts off the board.
- The Mustangs racked up two more attempts, coming from Smith in the 74th minute and Jacob Chatten in the 76th minute.
