OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson men's soccer earned its third win of the season on Tuesday evening, defeating Penn State Brandywine, 5-0, at Owings Mills East. The Mustangs improve to 3-1-1 on the season, while the Nittany Lions fall to 1-3.
Stevenson controlled the contest from the opening whistle, scoring four times in the first half. Jeffrey Tillman opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finding the back of the net off an assist from Jacob Greene to give the Mustangs a 1-0 advantage.
Bobby Brand doubled the lead in the 23rd minute, scoring off a feed from Levi Tanguay. Just under three minutes later, Jackson Robinson added an unassisted goal to push the Stevenson advantage to 3-0. Gaston Magrinat-Valdes capped the first-half scoring in the 33rd minute, converting off an assist from Blest Dumbuya to send the Mustangs into halftime with a 4-0 lead.
The Mustangs continued to control possession in the second half, generating 12 additional shots and 14 corner kicks. Ashton Guidry added the final goal of the evening in the 73rd minute, scoring unassisted to extend the advantage to 5-0.
Stevenson finished the contest with a 24-0 advantage in shots, placing 13 attempts on goal. The Mustangs also held an 18-1 advantage in corner kicks. Guidry led Stevenson with four shots, including three on goal, while Will Dellinger added three attempts.
Mason Shilling played the opening 71:12 in net before Isaac House closed out the final 18:48. The pair combined for the shutout as the Stevenson defense did not allow Penn State Brandywine to record a shot.
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday when they travel to Notre Dame of Maryland for a start time of 1 p.m.
