Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. -- Stevenson women's soccer answered almost immediately to tie the game in the second half, ultimately dropping a tough luck 2-1 road decision to Shenandoah at a soggy Shentel Stadium on Wednesday.
Stevenson (0-4-3) struggled to generate much offense, but answered back with a game-tying goal from Olivia Stephen just 30 seconds after Shenandoah (4-5-0) opened the scoring.
- Keegan Caffrey made her first stop for the Mustangs off a Chandler Gallant attempt in the 16th minute.
- Samantha Wilson labeled an attempt to the bottom left portion of the net, forcing a save from Shenandoah keeper Karissa Dominick.
- Nieve Barry posted the final shot attempt of the half for Stevenson in the 35th minute.
- Shenandoah opened the scoring on a misplayed ball in the 59th minute, putting the hosts ahead 1-0.
- It didn't take long for Stevenson to respond, with Stephen launching a free kick into the top portion of the net for her first collegiate goal, which tied the contest at one.
- Elizabeth McGee clinched the game for the hosts with her game-winning marker in the 82nd minute.
- Shenandoah held an 11-3 edge in shots, also posting four corners.
- Caffrey logged six more stops for the Mustangs in goal.
