CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Stevenson women's soccer surrendered three second half goals in a 3-0 road setback in the season opener against Washington (Md.) on Thursday night. 

• Scoreless at the break, both sides opened the matchup with an offensive opportunity less than three minutes in. Kierra McGee forced goalie Noah Smith to make a stop, one of two in the frame. 
• Keegan Caffrey turned aside four chances in the opening 45 minutes, including a stop to end a Washington (Md.) surge in the 35th minute. 

• Jessica Kern booted a shot wide left before the Shorewomen broke the scoreless tie in the 68th minute off a strike from Erin O'Reilly. 
• Lauren Mayor doubled the lead off a rebound in the 84th minute and the hosts continued to pour it on with a tally from Ellie Morrall in the 86th minute. 
• Stevenson mustered one last corner kick in the 87th minute. 

• Thursday's opener was pushed back 24 hours following inclement weather in the region on Wednesday. 
• Washington (Md.) held a 22-4 edge in shots. 
• Caffrey made six stops between the pipes for the Mustangs, while Samantha Baysic closed out the final 20 minutes with three stops.  

• Stevenson: The Mustangs look to bounce back on the road, visiting Ursinius on Saturday, September 4 for a 1:00 PM matchup. 
• Washington (Md.): The Shorewomen host Hood on Monday, September 6 with kickoff set for 4:00 PM.
