Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Stevenson men's soccer answered back from a halftime deficit in a big way on its way to a 3-1 road triumph against Catholic on Saturday.
Stevenson (4-2-1) posted its fourth win in the last five games, while Catholic was handed its second defeat of the season, dropping to 3-2-1. Sean McDonald and Pete Wickiser found the back of the net for the Mustangs in addition to an own goal.
- Catholic took the early lead, less than 10 minutes into the contest, on a goal from Darius Siahpoosh, assisted from Paul Egan.
- The Cardinal defense blocked shot attempts from Bryant Seivers and Edson DeMata as the Mustangs attempted to answer back.
- Stevenson continued applying offensive pressure, including a header from Jason Kahan that sailed wide in the 38th minute.
- Tiago Silva had another strong chance for the Mustangs, dribbling in toward the middle of the box before sending an attempt into the lunging arms of keeper Austin Coron.
- The Cardinals registered another solid look as time ticked away in the first half. Lorenzo Carletti took a centering cross and pushed the attempt just over the crossbar with just over 30 seconds left in the half.
