Box Score ST. DAVIDS, Pa. -- Stevenson men's soccer remained unbeated in Middle Athletic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth play with a 1-0 road shutout of Eastern on Saturday at Olsen Field.
Stevenson (6-5-2, 2-0-0 MAC Commonwealth) received its second game-winning goal in as many games from Will Earhart. Eastern (7-3-2, 1-2-0 MAC Commonwealth) could not solve Mustang keeper Kristian Slaby, who registered his third shutout of the season.
- Eastern had a quality scoring chance early, ringing a shot off the left post just over one minute into the opening half.
- Sean McDonald labeled a shot high after the Mustangs controlled a long throw-in and worked the ball into the box in the 8th minute.
- Dylan Holy lifted an attempt wide right for the Mustangs in the 16th minute.
- Jack Morales smacked one off the crossbar as Eastern's tough luck continued into the 26th minute.
- Kristian Slaby corralled his first shot of the day, stopping a Derek Burhman chance in the in the 33rd minute.
- Tiago Silva pushed a shot off the crossbar as neither side could break through despite a high number of good chances.
- Chris Gonzalez kicked an attempt wide in the 49th minute, marking the first chance for either side in the second half.
- Slaby stood tall again for the Mustangs, making another save in the 57th minute. From there, Stevenson began owning possession, drawing multiple corners around the 60th minute.
- The Mustangs continued picking up chances, with attempts from Iliass Zouita (64'), Jason Kahan (75') and Sergio Tamayo (79').
- Stevenson's persistence paid off as Earhart stuck home a pass from Drew Meyers for a 1-0 lead in the 80th minute.
