Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Stevenson men's soccer played a frenetic matchup to close out the nonconference portion of the schedule, settling for a 1-1 draw on Senior Night at Mustang Stadium against Cabrini.
Stevenson (4-5-2) struck first in the 22nd minute after Dylan Holy secured a bouncing ball in the box and slotted it home. Cabrini (5-4-2) had an answer just over eight minutes later as the crafty Nick LoBiondo zipped up the right side, dodging the goalie and scoring the equalizer. From there, the pace and intensity ratcheted up in a big way, with neither side able to find the go-ahead tally despite multiple quality looks.
- Stevenson opened the contest inspired offensvely, ripping a multitude of chances toward the Cabrini defense. Jay Smith, CJ Beteta and Iliass Zouita all forced Cabrini keeper Griff Rogers to be sharp early.
- The Mustangs kept their foot on the gas pedal, firing another two attempts before eventually breaking the scoreless tie. On a looping set piece from Zouita, the ball bounced around in the box before Holy took a touch and finished for the early lead.
- Stevenson maintained possession after the goal, but a long counter-attack tally for LoBiondo evened the score at one in the 30th minute.
- The tying goal pumped a renewed sense of energy into the Cavaliers, which ended the half with shot attempts in the 33rd and 45th minutes.
