Box Score READING, Pa. -- Stevenson men's soccer raced past Albright, 1-0, to remain unbeaten in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth play on Saturday.
Stevenson (8-5-2, 4-0-0 MAC Commonwealth) struck early as Iliass Zouita charged in for an unassisted tally, the lone of of the game, in the fifth minute. From there, goalkeeper Kristian Slaby and the Stevenson defense held Albright (3-10-1, 0-5-0 MAC Commonwealth) as the Mustangs continued ripping quality looks.
- Zouita gave the Mustangs all the offense they needed with his fifth-minute strike for a 1-0 edge. The finish came shortly after an Edson DeMata chance just seconds earlier as the Mustangs stormed out of the gates.
- Tiago Silva, who continues to become an offensive mainstay for the Mustangs, ripped a high shot into the arms of Albright keeper Nick Barton in the 25th minute.
- Slaby corralled a shot from Albright's Yaniv Gonyoe in the 33rd minute and the Mustangs countered back with a Dylan Holy look 40 seconds later.
- The Mustangs continued peppering chances at Albright, with Holy, CJ Beteta, Owen Mostoller and Holy again recorded shots over the final two minutes.
- Slaby made another stop in the 58th minute before Stevenson took control for the rest of the contest.
- The Mustangs kept pressing onward, ripping several shot attempts all around the goal.
- Switching keepers, Albright's Chris Denholm made a pair of second half stops.
