Murray's Four Hits Highlight Mustangs' 8-2 Triumph

STEVENSON, Md. - Senior Kevin Murray Jr. finished 4-5 at the plate with two extra-base hits, three runs scored and two runs batted in as a four-run fifth inning moved the Stevenson University baseball team past Lancaster Bible 8-2 at Sugar Field Wednesday afternoon.

  • Murray reached on an error to lead off the game for Stevenson (7-1).
  • After stealing second, Murray scored on a single through the left side by Alex Kidwiler.

  • Lancaster Bible (0-2) used three walks to load the bases with two out.
  • After an eight-pitch at-bat, Mustang starter Sam Downs got Jake Hahn swinging to end the threat.

  • The Chargers tied the game on a double down the line by Ethan Varricchione that scored Blake Greenley from first with two outs.

  • Lancaster Bible loaded the bases with one out, and took a 2-1 lead on a sac fly to right by Jaden Pinkney.
