OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Visiting Lynchburg jumped out to a 4-1 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 6-1 non-conference field hockey victory over Stevenson University at Mustang Stadium Tuesday evening.

• Lynchburg (5-2) got on the board at the 4:19 mark on a goal by Jackie Lerro after an initial shot by Kessa Romero was saved by Kelsey Eure.
• Stevenson (3-7) earned its first penalty corner of the game just past the five-minute mark.
• The Hornets made it 2-0 with just under eight minutes remaining in the quarter when Emily Dudley scored.
• On the Mustangs second penalty corner of the contest, Brooke Morris scored at the 7:43 mark on a blast from just inside the top of the circle, with Camryn Kelly assisting.
• Lerro's second goal of the game made it 3-1 in favor of the guests at the 11:02 mark.
• Brittany Claybaugh extended Lynchburg's lead with 1:44 on the clock to 4-1.

• Stevenson generated a pair of penalty corners just past the 18-minute mark.
• Eure made back-to-back sprawling saves following a Hornet penalty corner in the 23rd minute.
• Emma Adams nearly scored on a breakaway at 23:15, but Lynchburg goalie Laurel Nicks made a sliding save to keep the game 4-1.
• Jordan Hershberger got a shot off on a penalty corner with just under four minutes left but the shot was high.
• Lynchburg led 4-1 at halftime.

• The Mustangs generated a penalty corner just over four minutes into the second half.
• Lerro's third goal of the game extended Lynchburg's lead to 5-1 at the 6:37 mark of the period.

• Eure made three straight saves on a Hornet flurry in front of the goal with two minutes left, including a hard shot from the point by Emily Dudley.

• Lerro tacked on her fourth goal 1:42 into the final frame after her initial shot was stopped by Eure.
• Kaitlin Karns tested relief Lynchburg goalie Alex Boatwright immediately on a breakaway at the 53:46 mark but Boatwright came out to make the save.
• Eure made her final three saves in a Lynchburg flurry with just under four minutes to play.

• Kelly's assist was the first point of her collegiate career.
• Lynchburg held a 29-7 shot advantage on the evening.
• The Hornets also generated a 10-6 advantage in penalty corners.
• Eure finished with a career-high 20 saves, the most in a game by a Mustang goalie since 2015.
• Eure also moved into fourth place on the program's all-time save list with 268, and sits four behind Denise Ocasio for third place all-time.
