SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Stevenson women's beach volleyball team dropped a 4-1 decision to Division II Saint Leo on Thursday afternoon.

At No. 2, junior Katie Leftridge and freshman Emily Pellini went three sets before falling 13-21, 21-12, 15-9.

The No. 1 pair of Darian Hileman and Piper Connors nearly forced a third set before falling 21-11, 21-18, while Mackenzie Blevins and Grace Chaffee nearly did the same at No. 4, falling 21-7, 21-18.

The Mustangs picked up a point at No. 5 as the Lions did not have enough players to field a complete lineup.

Stevenson is back in action Saturday at Division II Florida Southern.
